About Us NYDJ, formerly known as "Not Your Daughter's Jeans," was founded in 2003 to fill a gap in the women's denim market. At that time, there were no comfortable and flattering jeans available for every woman. Most jeans had low waists and were uncomfortable to wear, and the few that did fit well were not stylish.
